1. What I will do for you
• Make you look beautiful!
• Both myself and any assistants I use shall provide the agreed Services with reasonable care and skill.
• I shall perform the agreed Services promptly on the date and time agreed.
• In the unlikely event that this agreement is cancelled by Amy Laney due to unforeseen circumstances any payments excluding those for work already performed shall be returned to the client with the understanding that there will be no further liability with respect to the agreement. In this situation I will do my best to find a suitable artist to replace me.
• I will use my own products/kit in the provision of the agreed Services unless specific products have been pre-agreed with The Bride or other members of the wedding party due to sensitivities etc.
• I will arrange means of transport and have my own mobile phone but may claim legitimate expenses subject to prior agreement.
• I will use high quality professional materials and recreate the agreed makeup based on The Trial. I do however reserve the right to, at my discretion, substitute products for similar colours, textures etc. depending on the circumstances of the day, and also to be in accordance with best hygiene practices and “use by” dates of product.
2. What I need from you…The Bride’s Responsibilities
• Sit back, relax and enjoy your day!
• The Bride agrees to pay the agreed Fees in accordance with the payment terms listed below.
• The Bride is responsible for Amy Laney’s fees, parking and travel fees if applicable.
• The Bride agrees to immediately inform Amy Laney regarding any sensitivities or allergies they or any other member of the wedding party may have to any types of makeup products or cosmetics or if they have any of the conditions listed in my contraindications. Amy Laney is not responsible for any liability for complications arising from the unlikely event of potential reactions or sensitivities and reserves the right to refuse to work on anyone on whom it would be unsafe to do so.
• The Bride agrees a suitable clean workspace will be provided at the venue where the makeup is taking place including space to lay out products and equipment and suitable lighting.
• The Bride agrees that I may use any photos sourced from the wedding for promotional/marketing activities.
3.Payment and Cancellation Terms
•Your date will be secured on receipt of your non-refundable booking fee.
•Your trial fee is due 30 days before your trial appointment.
•Following your Trial 50% of the remaining package balance is required to be paid as a non-refundable deposit.
•Payment to be made by bank transfer, or cash - cheques & credit cards are not accepted.
•No additional makeups other than those pre agreed will take place on the day of the wedding except with prior agreement from Amy Laney. Additional makeups are payable on the day in cash at a cost of £60 per person.
•The remaining balance of the wedding package is to be made no later than 30 days before the wedding either by bank transfer or cash.
• On signing of this agreement by both parties, Amy Laney will reserve the date agreed upon and will not make another reservation for that time frame. For this reason all booking fees are non-refundable and non-transferable even if the date is changed or the wedding becomes cancelled for any reason.
Cancellations Policy
In the event of cancellation please be advised of the following:
•All booking fees and deposit payments are non-refundable unless the booking is cancelled by Amy Laney.
•The full balance remains payable and non-refundable if the booking is cancelled by the client less than 90 days before the agreed wedding date.
•The full balance remains payable and non-refundable if any member of the bridal party decides against having their makeup done less than 60 days before the agreed wedding date – Amy Laney will waiver this at her total discretion
•In the event of postponement a new booking fee will be payable and any outstanding payments/ quotes will be updated to be in line with latest price increases.
•By paying your booking fee and signing your contract you agree to be bound by the terms of this agreement.
COVID-19 Health and Safety Policy
Although Hygiene and Sanitation practices have always been important and part of my working practices, the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic has made it necessary to take further precautions. The information below outlines the steps taken to mitigate the risks involved in performing close contact services during a pandemic:
● Before treatment clients will be required to complete a health questionnaire declaring they are fit and well, have no contraindications and are safe to receive makeup services.
● In the case of a client being unwell or displaying any contraindications the appointment will be rescheduled until it is safe to carry out the treatment.
● Wherever possible a 1- 2m distance will be maintained.
● In the case of makeup application this obviously becomes impossible. In order to mitigate the risk I will be wearing PPE in line with government and industry guidelines. This currently consists of a triple layer mask and a clear visor as well as disposable gloves where necessary.
● Hands will be washed thoroughly before each client and hand sanitiser will be applied regularly throughout the appointment.
● Clients will be asked to wash or sanitise hands before makeup application.
● When taking place in my studio the space will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitised between clients.
● Each client will have a separate clean brush set used on them and disposable rushes and sponges where applicable.
● All cosmetics and tools will be clean and sanitised before use and between clients and all usual protocols utilised to avoid cross-contamination.
● While working on location I will require a separate room or area set away from any gatherings of people. My working area will be sanitised thoroughly before beginning work and between clients. All of the above measures will continue to be taken. Only one client will be allowed within my working area at any time. Additional time will be required between clients to facilitate cleaning and sanitising of the area, tools and products.
● Clients will be required to read and accept my safe working practices before I undertake any makeup services.
